ABOUT US

Located in South Minneapolis, StudiOne-Eighty is helping restore and build economic recovery in South Minneapolis, an area where many people live at or below the poverty level and who have experienced significant economic impacts from the 2020 riots.

The best way to economic development is community development. To restore and build economic strength, people need jobs that pay well and are in demand in all economic situations.  In 2022, we are launching Lake Street Works, a program for high school youth to learn construction skills including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.

In addition, we believe more well-trained community leaders are needed to address the multitude of problems in our community and other urban areas.  With over 40 years, of experience in transforming communities, StudiOne-Eighty offers a training program, Rising Community Leaders, for individuals working in community development.
